General Predictive/Preventive Maintenance Applications

Thermal imaging can be used for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance of the many electrical and mechanical devices used in buildings and factories such as switches, outlets, connectors, fuses and motors. The benefits of using the Ti30 are:

• inspections are fast and easy
• there is no need to shut off equipment during the inspection (in fact, the equipment must be running in order to "see" any thermal signatures of potential problems
• inspections are safe, given the non-contact nature of infrared
  

Chiller Pump. The Ti30 detected an overheated bearing due to either lubricant failure or excessive wear.

Electric Motor in a Paper Mill. This Ti30 image shows the uneven heating in an electrical motor, which will reduce the life and efficiency of the motor if not properly addressed.
